The company COVISIAN S.P.A., with registered office in via dei Valtorta, 47 – 20127 Milano (MI) (“Company”) provides below the information concerning to browsing data and working of cookies and other tracking tools, about the website http://www.covisian.com (“Website”). For the purposes of this cookie policy (“Cookie Policy”), for clarity, “cookie” means and includes also the other tracking tools used by the Website, as better described below.
The following information is provided for the Company’s Website and not for other third-party websites that may be visited by the user through links of the Website itself.
This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with the Company’s Privacy Notice, to which reference is made for any other information on the processing of your personal data.
1. Browsing data, Cookies and other tracking tools
1.1. Browsing data
The IT systems and software used for the Website collect, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
Such data are not collected for the purpose of being associated with identified persons, but due to their nature may, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Website and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing.
The data could be used to ascertain responsibilities in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the Website and/or the Company: except for this case, the data are kept for the periods set forth in the relevant legislations or, in general, for the time strictly necessary to provide the user with the service required to guarantee the transmission of the communications.
1.2 Cookies and other tracking tools
Cookies are usually text strings that websites (so-called “Publisher” o “First Part“) visited by the user, or different sites or web server (so-called “Third Parties“), place and store – directly, in the case of the Publisher, and indirectly, through the latter, in the case of “Third Parties” – within a terminal device in the availability of the user himself. Cookies and the other tracking tools may have different characteristics, from a temporal point of view, and therefore be described according to their duration (session-based or permanent), or from a subjective point of view (depending on whether the Publisher acts independently or on behalf of “Third Party“). In any case, the classification that mainly meets the data protection perspective is the following one, based on three macro-categories:
technical cookies, used for the sole purpose of “carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service, explicitly requested by the contracting party or by the user, to provide that service“;
profiling cookies, used to link, to identified or identifiable persons, specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the features offered by the Website (so-called “pattern“), to group the different profiles within homogeneous clusters of different sizes, so that it is possible to send increasingly targeted advertising messages, consistent with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing;
analytics cookies, also used to evaluate the effectiveness of an information society service provided by a Publisher, to design a Website or to help measure its traffic (e.g. the number of visitors, also possibly divided by geographical area, time slots of the connection, or other characteristics).
